The UK Bribery Act applies to all irrespective of the purpose profits are made
The UK Bribery Act 2010, the much talked about Act comes into force from 1st July 2011. This means commercial establishment or individuals acting on behalf of company will need to have regarded to when dealing with their business associates. Section 7 of the Act defines that it’s a criminal offence if an institution or business fails to curb bribery. The UK government has published the Guidance reading all about the procedures for commercial organisations to know what is to be done and how to be in place to prevent their representative from bribing. It was not clear in the initial draft if "commercial organisations" as mentioned would attract charitable institution, but the final version of the Guidance made it clear that charitable institution are not immune from prosecution.
Section 7 provides a chance for commercial organisation to defend their case and demonstrate that they had "adequate procedures" in practice to prevent persons representing them from bribing. The Guidance as for all business establishment reads clear that bribery prevention procedures will be at par to risk and as such charities need to be careful of this and what is required of them under the Act.

Skype is launching its own video-calling app for the iPadThe Swedish company's video-calling software appears to have advanced features including an improved contacts page and better layout. It will be interesting to see how Facetime responds to this challenge as Skype can work with a 3G connection and not just Wi-Fi.
